Admittedly, we never thought that Egypt could be this beautiful, all along we thought that it would be all about the pyramids.

However, when we took the risk and book for a luxury holidays at Sharm el Sheikh, we were filled with awe. Although there is no direct flight going to Sharm el Sheikh and you have to go through the hassle of passing Cairo, I must say that it was all worth it. It was through that seemingly complicated route that we get to see the historic and famous Suez Canal, Sinai’s sandy desert and its rugged mountains. It is important that you get a window seat in order to appreciate such beauty.

Although Sinai is quite strange with its baked, sandy, rocky and inhospitable feel, this apparently made us appreciate our luxury holiday at Sharm el Sheikh even more. We never expected that behind that desert lies an oasis or paradise that is all waiting to be discovered.

What amazes us even more is that Sharm el Sheikh is even considered as the scuba diving capital of Middle East.The Ras Mohammed Marine Reserve is next to the famous Great Barrier Reef in Australia when it comes to beauty. It also comes as a surprise that behind the seemingly endless barren land lies a wide array of luxury hotels. This is why you could either explore the underwater or live like a king when you are in a luxury holidays in Sharm el Sheikh.

Luxury holidays at Sharm el Sheikh also boasts as being the safest and one of the most culinary sophisticated places in Egypt. They have lots of restaurants that you must try. Your luxury holiday at Sharm el Sheikh would never be complete if you would not indulge yourself to the sumptuous native Egyptian cuisine that they are known for. Also, it is a must that you take a bus going to the Saint Catherine’s monastery while you are there.

This monastery is the oldest working Christian monastery in the world. It is also where famous Burning Bush took place. Hearing about the stories and history that lies behind this monastery is sure to give you an interesting experience. It would make you more interested in reading your history and knowing what other historical events took place in that monastery.
